A Newborn Session for Sweet Lyla at Rebecca Dawe Photography

There’s something so special about those early days, soft little sighs & sleepy stretches. Lyla’s newborn session was filled with all of that and more.

We planned a calm, relaxed two-hour session that allowed plenty of time for natural moments to unfold. Lyla was beautifully sleepy for much of the shoot, which meant we could capture a lovely mix of classic newborn poses. Those tiny hands tucked under her chin, curled-up poses that show just how small she still is, and simple, timeless setups that will never go out of style. The focus was on soft tones and modern classic styling, neutral backdrops, delicate textures.

Between those quiet, dreamy portraits of Lyla on her own, we brought her big sister in for some truly heart-melting sibling shots. She was so proud and gentle, giving the sweetest kisses and cuddles. When Lyla needed a little feed and cuddle, we took that time to photograph her big sister on her own, capturing her personality and giving her a special moment in front of the camera too.

Once Lyla was settled again, we continued with family portraits — each parent taking a quiet moment with their newest little one. By the end of the session, we had a beautiful variety of images, from the soft, sleepy newborn portraits to natural family moments that tell the full story of this new chapter. It was such a joy capturing these first memories for this lovely family.

Our Newborn Sessions are booked out for 2 hours, so you have plenty of time for cuddles and feeds. We have plenty of blankets, wraps, props & headbands here in our studio, but if you have anything personal to you like a teddy or a knitted blanket Grandma made, please feel free to bring them along with you to your session.

Our Newborn Sessions are from £125.00 which includes the 2 hour studio time, Three Digital Images or Three Mounted Prints (up to 12″x8″). You get an online gallery approx 1 week after your session to view & choose your images.
