First Birthday Cake Smash Sessions…

There is something so incredibly special about turning one. This gorgeous little girl came into the studio to celebrate her very first birthday, and from the moment she arrived her big smile and bright personality completely filled the room.

We started with some beautiful portrait photographs before the cake came out. These pre-cake images are always so important — they capture your baby just as they are at one. Standing, clapping, smiling, and showing off all that personality that has grown so much in their first year.

Then it was time for the cake smash!
Her cake was decorated using the lovely little bits her family brought in, making the setup feel extra personal and meaningful. She didn’t hesitate to get stuck in — little fingers exploring the icing, big handfuls of sponge, and the sweetest frosting-covered grin you’ve ever seen.

And of course, what better way to finish than with a splash?
Our bath splash session is always a firm favourite. Warm bubbly water, lots of splashing, and plenty more giggles. It’s the perfect way to clean up and capture those final playful moments (completely optional, but always lots of fun!).
